Luniville Keller and Guerin for Luniville Circa 1890s'

Description

Keller and Guerin for Luniville antique ceramic vase circa 1890s. Bearing the label of the Cleveland Museum of Art ex col. The vase is iridescent copper tone overall with a design of flowers and foliage on a ground of metallic gold and organic textural surface. metallic gold glints across the whole body and on the satin design. The interior and bottom carry a deeper coppery red color. ( see details in the photos). The overall shape of the vessel appears as a section of a tree trunk. with rolling soft walls and bulges for limbs. A wonderful jewel-like vase from a very prominent maker. The measurements are 4.5" tall and the organic shape of the walls are 3.75" by 3". The actual clay is a heavy dense grey stoneware.
