Each cherubic angel is depicted in dynamic, flowing motion with beautifully detailed features and in the original polychrome decoration. They feature expressive faces, curled hair, and soft, rounded bodies that embody the angelic ideals of the Baroque era. Putti, or winged infant angels were especially popular for their symbolism of innocence, divine love, and the joy of heaven.
