Delftware Blue & White Chinoiserie Dish,
Irish (Dublin) or Liverpool,
1745-65
The rectangular British Delftware underglaze Blue Dish with canted corners and of large size is painted with a Chinoiserie garden scene. Â The central well with a large tree growing in the center with a zig-zag fence in the back and other large well-painted plants. Â Surrounding the central well is a band of diaper interspersed with flower heads. Â The rim is profusely painted with flowers.
Dimensions: 18 3/4 inches wide x 13 3/4 inches high x 2 1/4 inches high; 47.63cm x 34.93cm
