20th Century Faiancas Belo Portuguese Majolica Cabbage Leaf Soup Tureen with Lid and Underplate. Features a charming and sculptural cabbage-form ceramic soup tureen with matching lid and underplate with rich hand-painted glazing in shades of leafy green and subtle cream accents. The three-piece set is a whimsical yet elegant example of trompe-l'oeil pottery, designed to resemble a tightly layered cabbage head with naturalistic texturing and fine detailing. Top has a notch for a ladle (No ladle included).
Underside is embossed with BF 501, believed to made by Faiancas Belo in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.
