A richly detailed cut-to-clear crystal table box is attributed to Val Saint Lambert, Belgium, circa 1920. This round lidded box features a thick, clear lead crystal body with vertical fluting and a star-cut base, paired with a striking ruby red overlay lid. The lid is deeply wheel-engraved in a continuous garland of stylized floral and foliate motifs"”classic of VSL's early 20th-century decorative vocabulary.
The red overlay is cut through with precision to reveal the clear crystal below, creating a vivid contrast and showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship for which Val Saint Lambert is known.
