Agate & sterling silver English oval box, Birmingham, 1851. Gilt washed interior. Patch or snuff box, suitable for cuff links, trinkets, etc. Made by Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham, 1851. The scrolling engraving covers the entire surface, even the bottom, including an engraving cartouche (never used).
3" x 2 1/8" x 7/8".
