Description
Antique Chinese Porcelain Vase – 7.75ʺW × 7.75ʺD × 11.5ʺH
This finely crafted antique Chinese porcelain vase features classic blue-and-white decoration in a striking baluster form. Measuring 11.5 inches tall, the vase showcases alternating panels of stylized lotus blossoms and auspicious cloud scrolls, rendered in deep cobalt underglaze against a soft white ground. A scalloped border decorates both the foot and shoulder, echoing Ming dynasty aesthetics with refined symmetry.
At the upper body, a six-character mark appears in blue script"”reading "Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi""”an apocryphal reign mark commonly used to honor earlier imperial styles, particularly from the early Ming period (15th century). While not from the Xuande period itself, this piece was created in homage to that tradition.
Whether displayed alone or as part of a Chinese porcelain collection, this vase offers elegance, historical reference, and timeless decorative appeal.
