Description:This is an antique Japanese sword, a Mumei (unsigned) Katana attributed to the Shiga-zeki (???) school. This NIHONTO dates to the Mid Muromachi period and showcases the robust, practical characteristics of a weapon made for actual use. The workmanship reflects its strong origins in Mino Province (modern Gifu), with features reminiscent of classic Mino style influence. The blade has a flaw on the shinogi-ji, which is not considered damage but rather an authentic mark of its long history and service. It is a strong and honest example of a regional Muromachi period tradition, offering significant historical interest and the dignity of a blade that has survived real use.
