Title:English Flow Blue Serving Dish "Melbourne"

Size:12 in (30.5 cm) long x 8 in (20.3 cm) wide x 5 1/2 in (14.0 cm) tall.

Description:A beautiful W.H. Grindley Flow Blue Lidded Serving dish that dates from between approximately 1881 and 1899. It has a beautiful floral and lattice design, and unique scalloped base and lid. The borders of the lid and base are beaded. The lid’s rim, knob and area surrounding the knob, and the edge of the scalloped base are all gilded.<br <br The lid’s lip has the number"38" impressed on it and the number "88” is impressed in the base. The mark on the base is the Wm Grindley trademark with the pattern name “Melbourne” in a banner above. The number “16” appears above this).<br <br MEASUREMENTS<br <br 12 in (30.5 cm) long x 8 in (20.3 cm) wide x 5 1/2 in (14.0 cm) tall. 2 lbs. 2 oz (950 g)<br <br CONDITION<br <br The are no cracks, chips or repairs. There is very little wear to the interior. There is light to moderate wear to the gilding.
