Title:Kangxi Chinese Imari Fan Dish 1662-1722Size:10 in (25.4 cm) wide x 7 ¼ in (18.4 cm) tall x 1 7/8 in (4.8 cm) deep.Description:A very old and beautifully hand painted Chinese porcelain dish in the shape of a fan with ribs.<br <br The molded porcelain dish has been hand painted with colorful polychrome enamels. The central design is of peonies and prunus branches with flowers. This central panel is surrounded on both sides with a honeycomb pattern that has plum blossom centers. The dish has a lobed edge and there is much gilding to edges and patterns. The underside has a painting of scrolling foliage with flowers. <br <br The foot is raised with a painted key fret pattern. The foot rim is not glazed and is very soft and worn. The base is glazed. There are no marks or labels.<br <br MEASUREMENTS<br 10 in (25.4 cm) wide x 7 ¼ in (18.4 cm) tall x 1 7/8 in (4.8 cm) deep. Weighs 1 lb 4.6 oz (600 g)<br <br CONDITION<br The dish edges have some glaze frits which are normal for Kangxi wares. The fan pommel has been broken and reattached. There is some wear to the glazes on the ribs of the fan as well as to the gilding throughout.<br <br A very old Chinese porcelain to add to a collection or to decorate your home.
