This item is an antique Southern Sheraton Sideboard (commonly referred to as a huntboard). It is an authentic piece of American country furniture dating back to the second quarter of the 19th century (circa 1830–1850). [1]Design and SpecificationsOrigin: Crafted in the Southern United States (often attributed to the Piedmont region, North Carolina, or Georgia).Primary Material: Built primarily from yellow pine or poplar, which are typical regional secondary and primary woods for Southern backcountry utilitarian furniture.Finish: Features a historical red wash or red paint finish, which has naturally aged and worn over time.Asymmetrical Layout:Left side contains two stacked drawers with simple wooden knobs.Center houses a single paneled door attached with iron butterfly/strap hinges.Right side is built with one deep, oversized drawer made to resemble a cabinet face. 42 in tall x 52.5 in wide x 18.5 in deep
