About the artist: Artist of easel painting, teacher.
Komunar Savelyevich Berkut was born July 22, 1926 in the village. Grigoryevka, Khmelnitsky region.
Disabled person of World War II. Awards: Order of Glory III degree, Red Banner of Labor, World War I degree, 9 medals.
In 1949 he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk State Art School, teachers with a degree in M. Pogrebnyak, M. Panin;
In 1955 - Kharkov Art Institute, the heads of the workshop - L. Chernov, P. Kotov, M. Khmelnitsky.
Berkut K.S. since 1955 he participated in numerous art exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1966.
He worked as a teacher at the Dnipropetrovsk State Art College.
He died on December 26, 2003 in Dnepropetrovsk.
The artist’s works are stored in the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
