Belyak Vladimir Iosifovich was born on May 4, 1924 in the suburb of Odessa - Lustdorf (Chernomorka).
From 1940 to 1947 he studied at the Odessa Art School under A. Postel, I. Gursky, D. Krainev.
From 1947 to 1953 - study at the Kiev State Art Institute. Teachers: I. Shtilman, M. Sharonov, S. Grigoriev, K. Eleva, K. Trokhimenko, M. Ivanov.
After graduation, together with his friend - artist D. Bednoshey, he gets a job in the creative-production workshops of the Art Fund.
In 1953 he took part in an exhibition of Ukrainian fine art in Moscow (as part of a decade of Ukrainian art). His work was awarded with the distinction "For creative success".
Vladimir Belyak is a participant in numerous city, republican, all-union and international art exhibitions.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1953.
Since 1960, the artist begins to work on the "Kiev" series.
In 1973 he took part in the Kuindzhi Memorial exhibition. Awarded with a commemorative sign and a medal.
In 1977, after visiting the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara in Uzbekistan, he creates a series of works on Central Asian themes.
In 1988 he was awarded the medal of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
The artist's personal exhibitions took place in the Ukrainian House (Kiev. 2004) and in the Russian Museum (Kiev. 2008).
The works of Vladimir Iosifovich Belyak are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, France, Poland and other countries.
