Polychrome magic lantern PRODUCED BY Gebrüder Bing (founded in 1866 in Nuremberg by Ignaz and Adolf Bing). In 1908, it proclaimed itself “the largest toy factory in the world” and shortly before the start of the 1914 war, it employed 5,000 people, an unusual workforce for the time. During this period the company produced a very popular range of lanterns for children with fairy tales subjects , Cinderella , Bluebeard , Little Tom Thumb , they have the orange paper wraping around indicative of a German production featuring orange or red paper wrap . ( wood box for the slides included ).I inserted an electrical light replacing the orginal petrol light so it can be used safely.
