Made in France in the late 1920's early 1930's, this chandelier is most likely a Sabino . While unsigned, the quality clearly matched their creation; hand sanded and etched after being molded. It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer pieces of this quality; the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner, and the page was turned on small ateliers, to make way for the age of cost saving. It will fit any modernist interior, and can bring a warmer touch to a pure Eames style furniture set.He studied at the National School of Decorative Arts and Fine Arts in Paris, where he was amazed by the novelty of electricity. He created his own company in the manufacture of lighting in Noisy le Sec. In the 1920s, his activity extended to decorative objects: cups, vases, trinkets and figurines. Sabino creations are in a spirit close to that of René Lalique. He uses the same molding manufacturing processes (pressed-molded glass) and finishing for the realization of the chandeliers, but with an opalescence which becomes dominant (half-crystal). Sometimes we can find a coloring in the mass with enamel or gold.; Size H.24 x D.13, good condition, chain can be shortened if needed.
