No. 17 depicts Francis I leading the French army into Italy in 1525 to fight the Battle of Pavia, and No. 21 is a very generous rendition of Controller-General of Finances Jean-Baptiste Colbert at work in his office.; Widely used in schools because of their large format and their colorful imagery.
