Sena Tues is a talented artist who creates thought-provoking artworks that capture the essence of modern life. One of her latest works, "Life is Elsewhere", features a young man wearing a bucket hat. The artwork is a beautiful and poignant representation of youth, identity, and the search for meaning. The first thing that strikes the viewer when looking at "Life is Elsewhere" is the young man's bucket hat. The hat is an iconic symbol of youth culture, particularly in urban areas. It is a symbol of non-conformity, of being different from the norm. In this artwork, the bucket hat represents the young man's desire to stand out and be different. The young man's facial expression is also noteworthy in "Life is Elsewhere". He looks contemplative as if he is lost in thought. This expression conveys a sense of introspection and a search for meaning. The young man seems to be questioning his place in the world, and whether he is truly living the life he wants to live. The artist's use of color is also significant in "Life is Elsewhere". The muted tones of blue and green create a sense of calm and tranquility. They add to the contemplative mood of the artwork and give the viewer a sense of serenity. The title of the artwork, "Life is Elsewhere", is also thought-provoking. It suggests that the young man is searching for something beyond his current existence. He is looking for meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. The title also suggests that the young man is not content with his current life and that he is looking for something more. In conclusion, "Life is Elsewhere" by Sena Tues is a beautiful and poignant artwork that captures the essence of modern youth culture. The young man with the bucket hat represents the desire to stand out and be different, while his contemplative expression and the artwork's title suggest a search for meaning and purpose. The use of color and composition all come together to make this artwork a memorable and impactful piece of contemporary art. About Artist Kwabena Sena Alexander Bampoe a.k.a SenaTues was born on September, 1986 at Accra, Ghana. He studied art at Ghanatta College of Art and Design In Accra. Despite the challenges around him, He is greatly influenced by the environment he finds himself. As a contemporary figurative abstract artist, he paints in a diverse classical style where he illustrates his own reality, beyond melodies and words. He loves to explore facial expressions which he believes highlight one’s emotions, therefore creating a dialogue between the piece and the viewer. SenaTues is a figurative painter that highlights issues of identity. His works involve experimenting with both paint application and infusing the work with elements of collages, and other materials on the canvas… My paintings are highly specialized in facial muscles, which are capable expressing of many unique emotions. Research suggests that the left side of the face is more intense and active during emotional expression.
