About Artist Agbalaya Abdulahi Opeyemi, born in Lagos, Nigeria, is a versatile artist and graduate of Yaba College of Technology. His artistic journey began with training under Mr Owolabi Samson in 2013/2015, furthering his skills and knowledge under the mentorship of Akinola Taoheed Olaitan. Balancing art as a hobby and a potential career. Opeyemi’s use of shapes, colours, and composition in his works conveys a connection message. The shapes represent life’s difficulties, while the colours define the dynamics of life. Employing black as a background colour symbolizes the dark shadows of life, while brighter colours like purple signify strength, ambition, creativity, and hope.
