About Artist Naomi Oyeniyi is a contemporary Nigerian artist who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, with a specialization in painting. Naomi’s art is an amalgamation of her personal experiences, drawing inspiration from psychology, spirituality, social-cultural dynamics, my immediate environment, and observations of the world. Each of her artworks tells a unique story, encapsulating the essence of thoughts transformed into tangible form. She uses vibrant colors and bold contrasts to convey the emotional depth of each idea, while subtle textures and intricate details symbolize the complexity of our consciousness. Her technique involves the meticulous layering of colors using a palette knife, resulting in fractured lines that coalesce into figurative subjects. she painstakingly attends to details, employing deliberate brushstrokes to strike a delicate balance between realism, impressionism, and surrealism. While Naomi's works have gathered recognition both nationally and globally, her dedication lies in making a lasting impact and contributing positively to her generation.
