Details:
Specialized Apollo Program display featuring small flown spacecraft fragments representing each planned manned Apollo mission from Apollo 1 through Apollo 17. Each fragment, measuring approximately .5 x .25”, is individually mounted and identified by mission within an elaborate commemorative presentation honoring NASA’s historic Apollo lunar exploration program.
The display incorporates Apollo mission insignias, astronaut imagery, and lunar-themed artwork, with the relic fragments housed in a screw-down acrylic presentation case measuring approximately 5.75 x 3.5 x 1.25”. Included are fragments attributed to Apollo missions including Apollo 1, Apollo 7, Apollo 8, Apollo 9, Apollo 10, Apollo 11, Apollo 12, Apollo 13, Apollo 14, Apollo 15, Apollo 16, and Apollo 17. The relics are attested as flown by Jerry Czubinski of Aviators Alley.
Fine condition.
The Apollo Program, conducted by NASA between 1961 and 1972, culminated in mankind’s first successful lunar landing and remains one of the greatest technological achievements in human history. Six Apollo missions successfully landed astronauts on the moon, while the broader program advanced spacecraft engineering, lunar science, and deep-space navigation. Presentation displays incorporating flown Apollo material have become increasingly sought after by aerospace collectors due to the limited surviving quantity of authenticated mission-flown artifacts connected to the Space Race era.
