Collection of five autographed Negro League Baseball commemorative postcards, each signed by a former Negro League player and issued in conjunction with the Negro Leagues Baseball commemorative stamp release. Included are Ray Dandridge (“H.O.F. 1987”), Lester Lockett, Cowan “Bubba” Hyde, Josh Johnson, and Max Manning. The postcards feature artwork by Ron Lewis depicting each player in uniform, with biographical information printed on the reverse. Postmarked July 15, 2010, Las Vegas, Nevada, with Negro Leagues Baseball postage stamps affixed. One reverse bears a “SAMPLE” marking.

Ray Dandridge (1913–1994) was one of the greatest third basemen in Negro League history, starring for the Newark Eagles and later inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987. Josh Johnson was among the top pitchers of the 1930s and 1940s, while Max Manning played for the Newark Eagles and Houston Eagles. Lester Lockett was a versatile infielder and outfielder who played for several major Negro League clubs, and Cowan “Bubba” Hyde competed for teams including the Cincinnati Tigers and Memphis Red Sox. Together, these signed postcards commemorate players whose contributions helped shape the legacy of Negro League Baseball.
