Jack Sharkey (1902–1994) was the world heavyweight champion from 1932–1933 and fought legendary opponents including Max Schmeling and Primo Carnera during boxing’s golden era. George Foreman became one of the most dominant heavyweight champions in boxing history, winning Olympic gold in 1968 and reclaiming the heavyweight championship at age 45 in one of sports’ greatest comeback stories. Larry Holmes, known as “The Easton Assassin,” held the heavyweight title for much of the late 1970s and 1980s and is widely regarded as one of the greatest technical heavyweight boxers of all time.
