Herb Roth (1887–1953) was an American illustrator and cartoonist renowned for his contributions to early to mid-20th-century publications. His work appeared in the New York Herald Tribune, New York World, and various literary periodicals. In 1913, he created the comic strip "Oh, That New York! – What It Doesn't Do To You!" for the New York World, humorously depicting the city's impact on its inhabitants. Roth also collaborated with H.T. Webster, assisting on the "Timid Soul" cartoon series starting in 1923. Beyond his cartooning career, Roth was associated with the artists' and writers' colony in Delray Beach, Florida, during the 1930s and 1940s.
