Rex T. Barber autographed 10 x 8” biography and photograph sheet featuring a black-and-white image of the decorated United States Army Air Forces pilot beside a detailed printed service biography. Barber has boldly signed the photograph in blue ink at the upper left portion of the image.

Rex T. Barber (1917–2001) was a highly decorated American fighter pilot and one of the principal aviators credited with downing Admiral Yamamoto’s aircraft during Operation Vengeance, one of the most significant targeted military missions of World War II. Flying P-38 Lightning fighters in the Pacific, Barber completed more than 130 combat missions and earned numerous honors including the Silver Star, Navy Cross, Air Medal, and Purple Heart. His role in the Yamamoto mission secured his place in military aviation history.
