Fine condition.
STS-32 launched aboard Space Shuttle Columbia on January 9, 1990, and is best remembered for the successful retrieval of NASA’s Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF), a large experimental satellite that had spent nearly six years in orbit studying the effects of the space environment on materials and scientific payloads. Commanded by Daniel Brandenstein with James Wetherbee serving as pilot, the mission also deployed the Syncom IV-F5 communications satellite during its ten-day flight. Mission specialists Bonnie Dunbar, David Low, and Marsha Ivins played key roles in the complex retrieval operations, making STS-32 one of the Shuttle program’s most significant satellite recovery missions.
