Details:
Ike Rigell’s original Boeing Saturn V Launch Configuration poster, issued in 1968, presenting highly detailed technical schematics of the Saturn V rocket—the launch vehicle that carried astronauts to the Moon. Rigell served as Chief Engineer of Launch Vehicles and later as Deputy Director of the Kennedy Space Center, playing a central role in the Apollo program’s launch operations.
This example was previously sold by the American Space Museum who noted that the poster was personally gifted by Rigell to his close friend and neighbor Bob Giffen, a Thermal Engineer and member of the Apollo Launch Team, adding a strong layer of direct Apollo-era provenance connecting two key engineers involved in the Saturn V program.
The poster measures 24 x 36 inches and remains in very good condition, exhibiting noticeable overall toning and light staining concentrated in the lower left corner, consistent with age and period handling.
