Brass bass with black marble background, inlaid with several natural stones: such as red coral, pink coral, angel skin coral, turquoise, and many more.
Octagonal pin measures 1 1/2" by 1".
Closes with pin back and clasp.
Pietra Dura translates to Hard Rocks. The art of carving out stone and creating imagery by inserting colorful stones. The artist has created the most fascinating bouquet. I find these pieces to be mesmerizing. So incredibly done that from a distance it appears to be a solid piece.
