Description:Vintage 10kt Signet Ring, Open Book/Flag Image in Circles, Sz. 4.5, Signed A*, Early 1900's. It is marked 10kt and tests as 10kt with a weight of appx. 2.60 grams. The ring is appx. . 7.5mm down the finger and 12mm across the finger. I could not find an organizaton with this as their insignia but found this potential meaning: From the early 1900s, imagery of an open book and a flag together represented the core tenets of American patriotism, particularly for newly arrived immigrants. The symbolism is rooted in education, democracy, and the promise of a new life based on knowledge and principles of justice. The ring had a little dent in the back of the band. That has been fixed nad it is in very good vintage conditon. Nice detail on the sides of the band at the upper shank as well. (W11219.6X6 SS16588 J LD 9/1/25).
