This album's title was taken from the Caddo language word for "friendship" a name that is also shared with the band's home state, Texas. A highly transitional album, "Tejas" was a reflection of the modernization of the recording industry, with new technology and practices. An underrated record representing ZZ Top's ability to dip into other genres, signed on the beautiful landscape cover image, a fantastic celebration of the Houston-based rock band.
