Rare K Disc Mastering double-sided “Wheels on Fire” original 1987 acetate disc. Disc label reads “Siouxsie & Banshees Warner Records Side A Jan. 15, 1987 33RPM Wheels on Fire 4:04.” The accompanying paper is inscribed in red and black felt tip marker with the title “S & Banshee’s Pro ADR & College.” Acetate measuring approximately 12" x 12" and in fine condition. Acetate discs were produced in extremely limited numbers for internal mastering and label review, with very few surviving beyond their intended use. Released during Siouxsie and the Banshees’ acclaimed late-1980s period, “Wheels on Fire” showcased the band’s distinctive blend of post-punk atmosphere and alternative rock experimentation. Original promotional and mastering acetates tied to the influential UK post-punk scene remain notably scarce, particularly for artists as historically important and cult-followed as Siouxsie and the Banshees.
