Sought-after light green 5.25" x 4.5" album page signed in black ballpoint pen by David Bowie, who additionally inscribed “To Charles, best wishes” before his signature. The original recipient annotated the date and location at the top edge, reading “22 September 1972 Hollenden House.” The signature was obtained during Bowie’s first American performance of the legendary Ziggy Stardust Tour at Cleveland Music Hall. Encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (#84536781). A particularly desirable early-1970s Bowie example dating directly to the beginning of his breakthrough in the United States during the formative Ziggy Stardust era. Material tied to Bowie’s first American tour is especially prized by collectors, capturing the precise moment he transitioned from rising British cult artist to one of the most influential and visually groundbreaking performers in rock history.
