Description
This lot of three Gorham sterling silver serving utensils is in the Sovereign pattern, featuring Art Deco influenced styling with a stylized fan or shell motif at the handle terminals and bolsters. The collection includes a solid sterling silver cream or sauce ladle, a large cake or pie server with a hollow sterling silver handle and broad stainless-steel blade, and a smaller server with a hollow sterling silver handle and rounded stainless-steel blade. Each piece is engraved with a Gothic-style monogram H on the handle terminal. The reverse of the ladle handle is marked GORHAM STERLING PAT. 1939. The blades of both the large and small servers are stamped STAINLESS.
