A rare and culturally significant piece of early music television history, this satin jacket dates to MTV’s inaugural 1981 season, the year the channel transformed music, youth culture, and broadcast media. It was gifted to TV producer, Jacklyn Pratt, by one of MTV’s original five VJs. Jacklyn, then a music producer at KABC-TV, produced a series on the newly launched and groundbreaking music channel during its earliest days.
