ABOUT THE ARTIST: Zhezher Anatoly Mykhaylovich – was born on 5th of December, 1937 in Dniprodzerzhinsk city, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art College. Mentors: Chernyavsky G.G., Rodzin M. I., and Borovsky M.S. Since 1961 participated in regional, republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Works in the field of easel painting. Since 1978 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. The artist`s works are represented Dnipropetrovsk Art and History Museum, the Museum of the History of Dniprodzerzhinsk City, and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the USA, Hungary, Poland, France, Austria, etc. In 2014, Anatoly Zhezher was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. The artist died on September 20, 2020.
