ABOUT THE ARTIST: Soroka Arkady Vasilyovich – was born on the 25th of July, 1921 in Vinnytsia city. He studied at Odessa Art College. Mentors: Krainev D., Muchnik L., Shelyuto N. Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of genre painting, still life, portrait, and landscape. Since 1951, he participated in regional, republican, all-Union, and foreign exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR since 1967. Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1980. Since 2009 - National Artist of Ukraine. Works are presented in the museums of Vinnytsia, Donetsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk, in the gallery and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain, France, Poland, Germany and other countries. Arkady Vasilievich died on the 7th of October, 2010.
