Description
AAA5013The oil painting on hardboard titled Childhood dreams is a poignant and symbolic composition that delves into the fragile and often fleeting nature of memory, innocence, and the imaginative worlds we inhabit as children. Through a masterful use of abstraction, texture, and color, the artist constructs a visual narrative that feels both dreamlike and hauntingly realoffering a contemplative window into the echoes of youth that linger in the adult psyche. At the center of the composition are two ghostly, translucent figures rendered in soft whites and pale blues. Their forms are ethereal, shimmering with light, and subtly dissolving into the surrounding space. These figures, almost spectral in presence, evoke the sense of memoriesor perhaps the spirits of the children we once werestanding in silent reflection amid a surreal landscape of decay and transformation. Their gaze seems fixed on the remnants of a once-familiar place, perhaps a playground or a place of imagination, now reduced to ruins scattered across a golden and rust-hued terrain. The fallen structures, constructed through aggressive, angular brushstrokes in deep reds, browns, and blacks, suggest the collapse of childhood illusions or the passage of time that inevitably dismantles the magical constructs of early life. These broken remnantsbenches, beams, possibly parts of a swing or treehouselie strewn across the landscape like forgotten relics. They are not painted with sorrow but with a raw, expressive energy that speaks to both loss and the vitality of those original dreams. Contrasting with the weight of the ruins is the skya sweeping expanse of rich teal and soft turquoise that suggests vastness, hope, and the boundless imagination of youth. This expansive background serves as a metaphor for the dreamlike state of childhood, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy are fluid. The palette transition from dark to lightfrom the earthy ground to the celestial skyunderscores the journey from rootedness in past experiences to the airy, intangible realm of dreams and memory.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING **** TITLE: Childhood dreams* ARTISTS: Vadim Aksenov* SIZE: 29x44 cm/'11.41x17.32 inches' * MEDIUM: oil, hardboard* HAND PAINTED: Original painting from our collection* CONDITION: we tried to convey the maximum information with the help of photos about this productAbout the artist: Aksenov Vadim Yurievich.
