Buyers are responsible for selecting and paying for any shipping insurance they’d like. For larger or freight items, buyers arrange their own shipper and coordinate pickup in advance. Items not picked up are not automatically shipped. INVOICES & PREVIEW / PICKUP HOURS: Invoices are sent after the entire auction has closed. This gives us time to wrap up the sale, double-check totals, and get everything staged and ready on our end. On auction days, pickup begins at 2:00 PM. Please don’t arrive earlier—we’re not hiding from you, we’re just hustling behind the scenes to make pickup smooth and organized for everyone. Preview and pickup both take place during our regular business hours: Monday 9–4, Tuesday 9–4, Wednesday 2–7, Thursday 9–4, Friday 9–4. Buyers are responsible for bringing their own help, tools, packing materials, and appropriate vehicles for pickup. If you have questions about your invoice, preview, or pickup, just reach out—we’re happy to help once things are ready. PICKUP, STORAGE & ABANDONMENT: All items must be paid for and picked up within two weeks of the auction close. Items not picked up within this two-week period will incur a storage fee of $5 per lot, per business day for up to an additional two weeks. Storage fees apply automatically once this window has passed. Partial pickup does not pause, reduce, or reset storage timelines. Items remaining after four weeks from auction close are considered abandoned and may be resold, donated, or otherwise disposed of at our discretion. No refunds or credits will be issued for abandoned items. BUYER’S PREMIUM & PAYMENTS: If you’re new to auctions, here’s how pricing works. The final price you pay is made up of your winning bid, a buyer’s premium, and sales tax when applicable. The buyer’s premium is a standard part of auctions and helps cover the cost of running the sale. At Brooks Auction, the buyer’s premium depends on how you pay. Paying by credit or debit card includes a 23% buyer’s premium. Paying in person at pickup with cash or check includes a 20% buyer’s premium, reflecting a 3% savings for paying at pickup. How and when payment is collected depends on where you bid. LiveAuctioneers: The card on file will be charged automatically 72 hours after your invoice is sent. Brooks Auction App / https://bid.brooks.auction: Payment may be made at pickup. If payment is not received within two weeks, the card on file will be charged automatically. New Jersey sales tax (6.625%) is added where required unless a valid resale or tax-exempt ID is on file prior to invoicing. PHOTOS & LOTS: Photos are provided to help show items, condition, and scale. Any cube, ruler, toy, or prop used for scale is not included unless specifically stated. Lots may include multiple items and are grouped as shown and described. Photos may not capture every detail or every item included, so we recommend reviewing both the photos and the written description to understand what’s included in each lot. Photos help tell the story, but the written description ultimately defines the contents of a lot. Assumptions based on photos alone can’t be used as the basis for adjustments, refunds, or returns. If something in a photo or description doesn’t look right, raises a question, or you’d like to see more detail, please let us know before bidding. We’re happy to review the lot and provide additional photos when possible. NONPAYMENT: Winning a bid means you’re agreeing to complete the purchase. Invoices that go unpaid may result in removal from future Brooks Auction sales and may be reported to LiveAuctioneers. Removal may be temporary or permanent. Items associated with unpaid invoices may be resold at our discretion, and buyers may be responsible for any losses, fees, or costs that result from nonpayment. ALL SALES FINAL: All sales are final.
