Władysław Pawelec (1923–2004) was a Polish photographer, a pioneer of erotic photography in Poland, with a focus on advertising (especially portrait and figure photography). Krzysztof Teodor Toeplitz said about his work in a documentary:” [...] His imagination takes us back several dozen years into the past. We return with him to the circle of old, forgotten fetishism, airy fabrics, lace stockings, black corsets, mirrors, pearls, amulets, old clocks and Art Nouveau statuettes. This decoration, skillfully staged by the artist, not only signifies a liking for the fin-de siecle prop room, but also means something incomparably more important. conjecture about its interior, thoughts and moods.”
