Stunning jewelry box , in the Boulle style , very elegantly decorated with brass and mother of pearl marquetry on black wood , the result is beautiful , the box has it s original inside in velvet and it s key , you will find on top a lovely monogram as well . The Boulle style became famous with the cabinet maker Charle Boulle that created that style and worked for the kings of France during the 1700 hundreds , since this style was used over the time to come back very strongly during the mid 1800 hundreds under Napoleon III . The piece we have here is from the 1800 hundreds and signed by the maker Vervelle Aine that was very famous by it s extreme quality in that style , he participate and won prices for it s Boulle style objects and furnitures at several Universal Exhibitions in Paris during the 1800 hundreds . we have here an excellent example when you look at how all the details a taking care off , in the iron work or the marquetry all is master piece .
