Ivory Floral Folk Art Antique American Quilt Textile, Country of Origin: America, Circa Date: 1860–1880 – Provenance: International Quilt Museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Unlike modern quilts that are typically pieced together, this antique American quilt features a graphic, applied floral design arranged geometrically. The simplified rose buds are in stark contrast with the ivory background, and are delicately whip-stitched down. This piece of American history is appropriate as a small throw, or even as a wall hanging, thanks to its graphic appeal.
