This example dates to circa World War I–early interwar period (approximately 1915–1925) and was designed for medical service use, as evidenced by the original stamped instructions on the base for maintaining hot or cold liquids"”consistent with hospital, ward, and field infirmary applications.

The exterior retains a bright reflective finish but does show scattered scuff marks, light surface scratches, and age-appropriate wear, consistent with genuine early medical service use. Interior shows mineral scaling consistent with age and prior use. The piece has not been aggressively polished, preserving its original surface character.
