Offered here is an early 20th-century Stanley vacuum-insulated pitcher manufactured by Landers, Frary & Clark of New Britain, Connecticut, featuring the U.S. Army Medical Corps caduceus insignia.
This example dates to circa World War I–early interwar period (approximately 1915–1925) and was designed for medical service use, as evidenced by the original stamped instructions on the base for maintaining hot or cold liquids"”consistent with hospital, ward, and field infirmary applications.

The U.S. Army adopted the caduceus as the Medical Corps insignia in 1902, and this form was widely used through WWI and the years immediately following.
Condition
Structurally solid and intact with no dents or cracks noted. The exterior retains a bright reflective finish but does show scattered scuff marks, light surface scratches, and age-appropriate wear, consistent with genuine early medical service use. Interior shows mineral scaling consistent with age and prior use. The piece has not been aggressively polished, preserving its original surface character.
