Grand Tour Bronze Vessel With Double Eros Late 19th

Description

Antique grand tour vessel with two Eros figures mounted on the neck with double halo loops to hang. The walls are covered in lobed ribs with palmette finishes. The Eros figures are fully modeled with great detail, with one apparently male and the opposite being female. Two opposite poses and body postures. Centered opposite with a balanced rosette in between. Styled after the 2nd to 3rd-century Gaul or German colony. Thick casting and heavy walls. Beautifully modeled and cast. Natural bronze surface with olive oxidation. Good condition. Slight dent to the foot rim.
The dimensions are 9.25" tall by 5" in diameter
