Unusual and elegant Pennsylvania Dutch made 19c cherry writing desk with 2 drawers (locks need keys), serpentine legs, hand dovetailed joints, tiger sawn raised drawer fronts, newer inset leatherette writing surface and hardware. This was purchased in 1945 for a friend's mother as seen on the attached note in the drawer. Further writing inside the drawer base may add some clues as to it's Amish history.
