An oil on canvas featuring layers of impasto in warm earth tones with blacks and hints of blue, forming an abstract geometric bridge scene. The canvas is bordered by a painted black, thin wood.

Rinaldo Paluzzi was born in Pennsylvania, after serving in the Navy he attended John Herron School of Art and Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome Italy until 1951. After graduation, his career took off with a successful gallery exhibition in Indianapolis, followed by one in Los Angeles in 1959. He became internationally known for his geometric abstract paintings and sculptures. His work is in permanent collections in the Europe and the U.S (including the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden).
