Description

Olmec regions, ca. 1000 - 600 BCE. Two different celts, including a mottled blue-green jade example, having a tapered rounded body, single edge blade and opposing rounded butt. Together with a fine creamy blue-green jadeite celt, having a wide tapered body and a single edge blade. Very nice examples.. Both: 3.75”L (9.5cm).

Provenance: Private Florida collection, acquired from Barry Kernerman, Toronto, ex. Samuel Dubiner, Tel Aviv, 1960’s.
