Description
Panama, ca. 500 - 800 CE. Polychrome decorated pottery olla, having a flat flared rim and bulbous body. Beautifully decorated on the exterior with two large opposing arch shape registers, both containing a undulated serpent, probably a rattle snake. Two large opposing triangular pelvic type elements on the sides. A nice example.. 8.25”H x 9”W (21 x 22.9cm).
