Description:Inside a house by the entrance, a man and a woman quarrel fiercely Behind them, through the open door we see a porter in his sedan chair, apparently waiting to pick up one of the two quarreling persons. - A pentimento contains minor corrections to the position of the man's face: see separate detail picture. - This preparatory drawing ('shita-e') was part of a group of such drawings collected by the Utagawa school in numbered albums which served as study material for the school's students; the drawings now are dispersed in museum and private collections worldwide.,
