1880's Nine Patch Quilt, Sawtooth Border

Description

This BEAUTIFUL cotton 1880's nine patch / bars quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a variety of mid-to-late 19th century prints on a yellow calico background, with a sawtooth border around the edge.

It measures 70" X 76" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, inconspicuous spots and no wear.
There is straight line quilting throughout at 6-7 stitches to the inch.
The back is an early white print, the hand stitched binding is the same yellow used in the interior, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of Summit County, Ohio.
