1959-1967. Single-sided porcelain (SSP). The sign shows the "fine spray" variation (as opposed to the "wide spray"), which shows fine spray lines coming out of the stylized injector tip. The fine spray design was used from 1947 to 1962. However, Texaco started using the "Circle R" trademark in 1959 and by 1967 (the year of a full corporate rebranding), they ceased production of the Diesel Chief signage. (TAC #501609).
