Lobed Form Sterling Beaker, by silversmith Edvard Andersen (Copenhagen and Virum, worked 1949-69); the form based on a legend of Danish Queen Margrethe I (1353-1412) who had an 8-section cup made so seven attendants could test the contents before she drank to avoid being poisoned; stamped "Sterling, Edv. Andersen, Danmark" on the base. 2.71 ozt.
